On behalf of Johnson & Johnson Switzerland, we had the pleasure of supporting a remarkable transformation project: turning a traditional printed employee magazine into a modern, interactive digital news hub—dynamic, engaging, and closely connected to its readers.
Today, the Swisspulse News Hub serves as the central platform where J&J Switzerland’s editorial team regularly shares exciting insights into the company’s world. Whether it’s internal initiatives, events, or current projects, the content informs and invites engagement. Employees can comment on, like, and share articles—enabling real interaction rather than one-way communication. Since its launch two years ago, 249 articles have been published, clearly showing the editorial heartbeat of the platform.
Technically, we built the Hub on CraftCMS, a content management system we know inside and out. This allowed us to both leverage our technical expertise and empower the editorial team with tools that support their creativity and streamline their daily workflow.
A key challenge lay in security: access to the Hub is strictly limited to authenticated Johnson & Johnson employees, requiring a robust authentication setup. Simultaneously, we initiated a thorough risk assessment with J&J’s internal security team—a process that, despite our experience, proved unusually extensive. But ultimately, this rigorous process raised our own standards: our internal security protocols reached a new level, and the project helped us grow alongside our client.
