The industry standard “Berufe der ICT” (Professions in ICT) has appeared in print format every three or four years since 1986. Since 2018, its job descriptions and details of vocational courses have also been available to browse online.
As well as conceptualising and designing the platform and its user interface, we also had to solve a range of technical challenges: an SQL database architecture for ICT professions, interfaces to other services, full text search with its own algorithm, and coding a separate content management system with various editing tools such as versioning, scheduling, categorisation and image mapping.
