In collaboration with its partners, medtoday organizes events in the field of medicine. These events offer professionals the opportunity to exchange ideas on current topics and developments, particularly in oncology. The medtoday website serves as a central platform to manage and promote these events. We redesigned, visually refreshed, and technically implemented the site within medtoday’s existing corporate design.
The goal of the visual overhaul was to modernize the website’s appearance while significantly improving usability. Navigation is driven by a central search function that allows visitors to quickly find relevant events. A category filter makes it easy to browse events by topic—for example, all upcoming oncology events. Visitors can also choose between a classic list view or a visually engaging calendar view to browse events in the way that suits them best.
A key element of the platform is the event registration system. Registration for free events happens directly through the platform. For paid events, we integrated Payrexx as a payment solution, which supports all common payment methods in Switzerland. By partnering with a reliable Swiss provider, we ensure a secure and smooth transaction process
Particular attention was paid to making the registration process simple, user-friendly, and accessible. The website is fully readable by screen readers and can be navigated entirely via keyboard—ensuring barrier-free access for users with visual or motor impairments.
In addition to the event platform, we implemented a document library for medtoday. It allows for password-protected access to documents and videos, which can optionally be linked directly to individual events. A full-text, context-based search makes it easy for users to quickly find relevant content within the library.
